Product Description
Celebrating the 20th Anniversary since the launch of the Xezo Maestro® All Mother of Pearl pen series in 2003, Xezo is introducing the very special Xezo Maestro® Jubilee collection. The Xezo Maestro® Jubilee series of pens features a second-to-none level of workmanship from our shop’s dedicated craftspeople, using precious oceanic nacre. Remaining true to Xezo’s belief in passing value to fans, this pen model is limited to only 223 pieces made worldwide.
This fountain pen features a gold-plated stainless-steel nib with a fine/extra fine point (0.3 mm line width). The brass fittings are plated in shiny chrome.
Each of these pens use around 240 checkers made of white oceanic mother of pearl and Paua abalone shells with a hardness of 4.5 on the Mohs scale (as hard as steel). Each small square was skillfully cut by hand and carefully applied to the barrel. This time-consuming process was finished by polishing the entire surface of each barrel to make it rounded, silky smooth to the touch, and glossy—no clear coat needed. Every one of these pens is a beautiful and timeless work of classic art.
Every piece of nacre was carefully selected to show the most vibrant color hues. These iridescent checkers shift colors in the light and can range in tones from white, pink, purple, green, blue, turquoise, yellow and grey. White mother of pearl and Paua abalone shell are natural materials, and every panel is unique. Due to this, some distinctions in the colors and textures in these pens may occur, helping make your pen truly one of a kind. Please note that due to variations in the thickness of the nacre and bonding materials in each pen, the weight of each pen can vary from 39 grams to 43 grams.

Important Product Information
-
Avoid storing your fountain pen upside down (with the nib pointing down). You could damage your nib and cause ink to pool or leak in the cap. It is best to store your fountain pen with the nib pointing up or horizontally.
- Note: It may take up to 5 minutes for ink to fully flow through to the nib from an ink cartridge. If the nib still isn't working after this time, gently squeeze the ink cartridge to encourage ink flow. If the seal on the cartridge will not puncture, you may need to use a new one.
- Fountain pen nibs require periodic cleaning to ensure smooth flow of ink and prevent clogging. Inks with additives (lubricants, humectants, or micro-particles / shimmer) are NOT recommended for inexperienced fountain pen users. These additives leave residue that must be flushed from the nib / feeder frequently.
- Our fine size nibs have a tolerance range due to the milling process. Therefore, upon customer request, we can select the equivalent of an extra fine nib (line width of ~0.3mm) from our fine nib stock, although the nib will be marked as “F” and not “EF”.

Xezo Maestro® Series — A Tradition of Exceptional Craftsmanship Since 2003
First introduced in 2003, the Xezo Maestro® Series has evolved into a distinguished collection of limited-edition, individually serialized luxury writing instruments, celebrating the harmony of natural beauty, timeless design, and meticulous craftsmanship. A hallmark of the collection is its use of carefully selected AAA-grade oceanic white and Tahitian black mother-of-pearl, alongside exceptionally prized deep-blue Pāua abalone from New Zealand, valued for its remarkable iridescence and increasingly challenged by changing ocean conditions. Each natural shell is unique, ensuring that no two shell-adorned Maestro pens are exactly alike.
Xezo employs two distinctive approaches to showcasing natural oceanic nacre. Select classic Maestro models feature genuine Pāua abalone and classic black mother-of-pearl inlays, protected beneath layers of clear resin or lacquer and meticulously polished to enhance their brilliance and durability. In contrast, the Maestro® Vintage, Jubilee, Oceanic White Mother of Pearl, and Tahitian Black Mother of Pearl collections feature individually shaped, fitted, and hand-polished shell segments without clear protective resin or lacquer coatings. Achieving such a finish is a considerably more time-intensive process, demanding exceptional precision and individual attention to every piece of nacre. The result preserves the authentic, silky-smooth surface of natural oceanic shell, allowing the owner to experience its remarkable texture directly beneath their fingertips, refined by the skilled hands of our craftsmen.
The Maestro® collection also includes sterling silver designs and finely lacquered models accented with genuine labradorite and amethyst gemstones, complemented by elegant precious-metal-plated fittings. Available as fountain pens, rollerballs, and ballpoints, these distinctive writing instruments combine natural artistry with a refined writing experience, creating enduring expressions of individual taste and craftsmanship.
