Product Description

Building on the tradition of excellence which started with the original Maestro series in 2002 introduced the Maestro Mahogany fountain pen series. The standard fountain nib for this series is medium sized.

This series was produced in a limited edition of 250 pieces with each pen individually numbered.

The pen features a uniquely-shaped solid brass body coated in 10 layers of a rare dark mahogany-colored lacquer, which was developed exclusively by Xezo for the production of this series. The production of each pen involves the intensive process process of manually polishing each barrel and cap every time a layer of the mahogany lacquer is applied.

Beautifully engraved with a diamond-cut pattern, the pen features a screw-on cap and .999 platinum-plated parts with a hand-crafted movable spring clip. The pen is weight balanced for a comfortable grip while writing.

The pocket clip is designed to shift 20 degrees to the right or left side from the axis in order to reduce the load on the top part of the pen and pocket. This also helps to protect the pen and your pocket from excessive wear.

  • Important Product Information

    • Avoid storing your fountain pen upside down (with the nib pointing down). You could damage your nib and cause ink to pool or leak in the cap. It is best to store your fountain pen with the nib pointing up or horizontally.
    • Note: It may take up to 5 minutes for ink to fully flow through to the nib from an ink cartridge. If the nib still isn't working after this time, gently squeeze the ink cartridge to encourage ink flow. If the seal on the cartridge will not puncture, you may need to use a new one.
    • Fountain pen nibs require periodic cleaning to ensure smooth flow of ink and prevent clogging. Inks with additives (lubricants, humectants, or micro-particles / shimmer) are NOT recommended for inexperienced fountain pen users. These additives leave residue that must be flushed from the nib / feeder frequently.
