Product Description

This medium-fine point fountain pen features a cap with hand-inlaid, polished single-cut panels of the highest AAA grade oceanic origin saltwater white mother of pearl that glistens and shifts multicolored hues in the light. The round lower barrel is made of solid hand-guilloched, hallmarked 925 sterling silver. The fittings are chrome-plated brass, and the medium-fine nib (0.45mm writing stroke) is gold-plated stainless steel with a finely etched leaf pattern in silver.

Each luxury pen is limited edition and serialized. The limited edition is exemplified by the fact that every panel of natural white mother of pearl is unique. Due to this, some distinctions in the colors and textures in these pens may occur, helping make your pen one of a kind.
Mother of pearl is not only beautiful—it’s also known as one of the most durable natural materials. Xezo uses a grade of nacre (mother of pearl) with a hardness of 4.5 on the Mohs scale. For comparison, a fingernail has a hardness of 2.5, a knife’s steel blade has a hardness of 5.5, and copper or brass have a hardness of 3. We use this toughest grade of mother of pearl in our luxury pens because we believe that the best gift is one that represents enduring love and care.

The natural intricacies of the white mother of pearl, the wave-like guilloche engravings, and the golden leaf-patterned band come together with inspiration from Art Nouveau to emulate the artistry of nature itself. Altogether, this makes for a pen that is not only a useful writing instrument but also a unique work of art.

  • Important Product Information

    • Avoid storing your fountain pen upside down (with the nib pointing down). You could damage your nib and cause ink to pool or leak in the cap. It is best to store your fountain pen with the nib pointing up or horizontally.
    • Note: It may take up to 5 minutes for ink to fully flow through to the nib from an ink cartridge. If the nib still isn't working after this time, gently squeeze the ink cartridge to encourage ink flow. If the seal on the cartridge will not puncture, you may need to use a new one.
    • Fountain pen nibs require periodic cleaning to ensure smooth flow of ink and prevent clogging. Inks with additives (lubricants, humectants, or micro-particles / shimmer) are NOT recommended for inexperienced fountain pen users. These additives leave residue that must be flushed from the nib / feeder frequently.
    • Our 925 sterling silver is pure and not plated. Silver will naturally tarnish (turn darker) over time, depending on use and storage conditions. We recommend that you polish the silver once per year, using the provided polishing cloth or your preferred silver polishing product.
